What really decides it isn't how many of you there are, it's how much luggage you're bringing. With the rear seats in use to reach 8 or 9 people, boot space drops considerably, so it's worth counting suitcases as well as passengers before you book.

For seven or eight people with hand luggage, one vehicle usually works out better than two cars: one tank of petrol, one parking space and a single bill. If the group splits up daily or drivers keep different schedules, two cars give you more freedom.

What Licence Do I Need to Drive a 7 or 9 Seater Car?

A standard category B licence is all you need. It covers vehicles with up to nine seats including the driver's, so no vehicle in this category requires a special permit.

Is It Harder to Park a 9 Seater in Marbella?

It's longer than a standard car, so finding a space in the centre or in Puerto Banús can take a little longer, but it doesn't have the height restriction of a large van.

What Isn't Covered by Premium, Even Though It's Fully Comprehensive?

Tyres, glass and the underbody are excluded even with premium cover. Every other kind of damage is covered with no excess, but a puncture, a cracked window or a knock to the underbody are charged separately.

Does Basic Cover's Roadside Assistance Also Apply Overnight?

The basic option includes roadside assistance without specifying set hours. The premium option spells it out as a 24-hour service, so for a breakdown at night or outside business hours, premium gives you more certainty.

If I Leave Andalusia with Premium Cover, Is Mileage Still Free?

Premium's unlimited mileage applies within Andalusia. The insurance does cover the whole of Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal, so if you're planning to leave the region, let us know when you book so we can sort out the mileage properly.
