Automatic Car Hire in Marbella, for Drivers Who Don't Want to Shift Gears
Constant gear changes stop being a problem once you hire an automatic. In Marbella town centre traffic, on the roundabouts along the way to Puerto Banús, or climbing the hills towards the mountains, the car does the work for you. It's the option we recommend if you're visiting from abroad and don't know the roads, or if you'd simply rather arrive more relaxed. Our automatic fleet starts from €42 a day, with zero excess if you choose premium cover.
With premium cover, the excess drops to zero from day one.

In the economy range there's the automatic Opel Corsa, in the mid-range the Toyota Yaris Hybrid or the Audi A3 Sportback, and at the top end the Mercedes CLA. Automatic transmission doesn't push the price up on its own, what changes is the range of car you choose.
If you're after something specific alongside the automatic gearbox, such as more seats or more boot space, check each model's spec sheet, almost all of them have an automatic version.

Does an Automatic Car Use More Petrol Than a Manual?
Not necessarily. Modern automatic gearboxes use the same or less fuel than a manual, thanks to electronic gear management. It's very different from older automatics. The price difference between automatic and manual comes from the car's range, not its fuel consumption.
Is Automatic Transmission Only Available on High-End Cars?
No. We have automatics in the economy, mid and high ranges, so you don't need to raise your budget to drive without gears. If you're after something specific alongside the automatic gearbox, such as more seats or more boot space, check the fleet's other categories.
Can I Hold the Automatic's Deposit with a Debit Card?
No, the €1,200 excess can only be held with a credit card when you pick up the car. With premium cover there's no excess to hold, so that step disappears.
Does the Price Drop If I Hire the Automatic for Several Days?
Yes. The daily rate drops by around 10% if you book for a week and 17% if you book for a month. The proportion is the same across every automatic range.
Does Premium Cover with No Excess Cover Any Damage to the Automatic?
Not just any damage. Premium cover is fully comprehensive except for tyres, glass and the underbody, that damage is always your responsibility even without an excess to pay.
Is the Automatic Worth It for a Longer Trip, Like Ronda or Málaga?
